Customer terms

Honakari customer terms

Version 2026-10-25. These terms govern purchases offered at checkout and are provided before payment and in the downloadable receipt. The checkout total, product and licence dates form part of your order.

Seller and contact

The seller is Zehan Hussain, an individual/sole trader trading as Honakari, at 7 Kenton Street, Oldham, Greater Manchester, OL8 2DB, United Kingdom. Customer support, complaints, delivery and privacy contact: Zehanhussain@live.co.uk. The seller is not VAT registered. No VAT is charged separately and no additional payment-processing surcharge is added by this checkout.

What you receive and compatibility

Honakari is a Windows desktop reader for files you import yourself. It does not include a commercial library of books, manga, comics or music. It imports DRM-free EPUB, PDF, CBZ/image ZIP, text and common image files. Local audio playback depends on formats supported by the installed Windows/WebView2 engine. Protected or unsupported files may not open. Scanned PDFs may lack selectable text. Panel Assist can miss or misorder panels; check the full page, correct the order or disable it. Your source files are unchanged.

The installer is for 64-bit Intel/AMD Windows computers and includes Python; you do not install Python separately. Windows 10 has been tested on the seller's laptop, including audible local playback and normal closing, according to the seller's test. Automated installation, upgrade, uninstall, highlighting and close/save checks also passed on Windows Server 2025. Windows 11 compatibility is expected but has not been manually verified. There is no Mac, iPhone, iPad or Android build, and ARM Windows is not verified. Microsoft WebView2 is required; setup may need an internet connection to obtain it. Storage is required for the application, runtime and imported copies of your files. Responsiveness varies with the computer and document size and layout. Try the same reader engine in Free with your own files before buying. These statements do not remove rights if paid content is faulty or misdescribed.

The installers are unsigned. Windows may show a publisher/security warning. Download only from the seller's published release location and do not bypass a malware detection. The app has no customer account, cloud library, cloud sync or shared online playlists. Reading works locally; optional catalogue features and checkout use the internet.

Free, trial and paid access

Free permits two imports in each of Books, Manga and Comics. The optional no-card Premium trial lasts seven days from explicit activation and does not renew or charge automatically. An older signed three-day trial retains its original expiry; upgrading does not restart it.

Annual Premium costs £72 for one licence lasting 12 months from issue. Short passes cost £0.99 for 24 hours or £2.99 for 72 hours from issue. No product automatically renews. Active Premium access, including trials and reward passes, is ad-free and removes the Free import caps during its term. After expiry, the first two original imports on each shelf remain readable; additional imports are retained behind a lock and existing notes remain exportable. A permanent publisher/owner grant is not a customer offer or a promise of perpetual updates.

Without active Premium, Free shows two original publisher trailers after each 30 minutes of active foreground use. The square player permits closing after both films finish. Mute is available, playback failures allow exit and the app may always be closed normally. These are the publisher's own promotions, with no third-party advertising network or payment to you for viewing.

Bundles, gifts and offers

The introductory friend bundle supplies two separate annual codes for £92 total. Eligibility is one introductory bundle per PayPal buyer reference, not a verified one-person guarantee. A failed/interrupted capture may reserve eligibility; contact support before paying again. The standard combined annual price is £144; this comparison does not claim a history of completed sales.

When advertised as available, the seasonal annual offer is £54 during 15 December–15 January, 20 March–20 April, July and October, using UTC dates. Discounts do not stack. The final available product and total appear before approval.

Gift and bundle codes are delivered to the purchaser to pass to the intended recipient. Their terms start at issue, including a gift; they do not restart at activation. Delayed issue is not offered. Each code is licensed to one person's personal use on their own Windows computers, with reasonable backups. An unused gift/bundle code may be passed to its intended recipient. Codes are not technically device-bound or limited to a single redemption. Keep them private; do not publish, resell or distribute copies.

Payment and delivery

All checkout prices are in GBP and are final customer totals. PayPal handles payment credentials. Any payment-provider currency conversion is shown by that provider; the seller does not collect card details or passwords.

Codes appear in the website receipt only after the capture is verified and access is issued. There is no shipping or delivery charge and no automatic email delivery. Download and save the receipt, codes, dates, seller details, terms and consent record before leaving. The same browser session may recover the verified receipt. If delivery fails, contact support with the PayPal order/transaction reference. Do not pay again or send passwords, card details or your private receipt token publicly. Support verifies the transaction and buyer before re-supplying the original codes; a payment screenshot alone does not establish payment.

Cancellation, faults, refunds and complaints

For digital content purchased online, you normally have a 14-day cancellation period from making the contract. If you expressly request immediate supply and acknowledge the loss of that cancellation right when supply starts, the right ends when supply begins where the law permits. The required agreement is obtained before payment using unticked boxes and recorded in your contract copy. Without the required consent and confirmation, the seller does not assume that your cancellation right has ended. Rights for faulty or misdescribed content remain.

To cancel where the right applies, send a clear notice to the contact above, including your name, order reference and order date. You may use the cancellation form below; its use is not compulsory. A cancellation or refund legally due is handled under the applicable statutory deadline, without deducting the seller's payment-processing fees.

For a fault or misdescription, contact support with the order reference and a description of the problem. The seller will investigate and provide the remedy required by law. Statutory digital-content rights may include repair/replacement or a price reduction, potentially a full refund. The seller may offer a full refund as an agreed remedy when a fault cannot be resolved. Agreed statutory refunds are processed through the original payment method without undue delay and within applicable legal deadlines. No additional unconditional money-back guarantee is offered. Downloaded offline codes cannot be remotely disabled; a refund may end the contractual right to use a code without technically revoking it.

The routine support response target is within 14 calendar days. This is a response target, not a guaranteed fix time, or a waiting period for urgent delivery failures, security reports or statutory rights. Those are handled without undue delay and within legal deadlines. No future features, new major versions or fixed update schedule are promised. This does not remove security, conformity, fault-remedy or other duties that cannot lawfully be excluded. Nothing in these terms excludes non-excludable rights or liability.

Files, licence and updates

You retain rights in your own files and should import only material you may lawfully use. Back up the library before upgrades. Uninstall intentionally retains the library; it does not back it up for you. Third-party components retain their own licences and notices. Legally permitted acts concerning software and statutory consumer rights are unaffected. Your purchase covers the released product and access term displayed at checkout; later changes must not retrospectively remove promised paid rights.

Scope and disputes

Sales are offered to UK consumers aged 18 or over, with English-language checkout and support. England and Wales law applies without removing mandatory protections or access to competent courts in the consumer's home jurisdiction. Send complaints to the support email first; statutory remedies remain available. No paid dispute-resolution subscription or service is included.

The optional Free reward draw permits one attempt per UTC day per saved local app data while Premium is inactive: 1% chance of a 24-hour pass, 0.2% of 72 hours and 98.8% no award. No entry fee, paid extra attempt, advert requirement, cash prize or guaranteed win applies. An award begins at the win and cannot stack with active Premium. Limits are local, not verified per person. The promotion is offered to UK users aged 18 or over; questions go to support.

Online trial activation

Starting or recovering the optional seven-day trial requires one internet activation. Honakari sends only a product-specific SHA-256 hash of the Windows installation ID, plus original trial dates when migrating an existing trial, to https://honakari.pages.dev. It does not send the raw Windows ID, documents, titles, notes or reading history. The server retains the hashed device identifier and original start/end dates while this trial offer is operated, to prevent repeated trials after app-data deletion. This pseudonymous record is processed for our legitimate interest in preventing trial abuse. A salted daily connection hash limits new activations; it is cleared after seven days on subsequent activations. Cloudflare receives ordinary connection information to host and protect the service. Contact Zehanhussain@live.co.uk for data rights, including objection or deletion requests, subject to applicable exceptions. A signed receipt then permits reading offline. Existing expired trials stay expired; verification of an active older trial keeps its original expiry. Free reading and valid paid licences do not need trial activation. Replacing Windows, spoofing identifiers or modifying the executable is outside this protection.

Calendar-month Premium passes

One-month Premium is one payment of £6 for one calendar month from licence issue. Three-month Premium is one payment of £15 for three calendar months from licence issue (£5 per month). Neither automatically renews. They require Honakari 14.0.6 or later; update before purchasing. Access begins at issue, including when buying for someone else, and does not restart on redemption. Calendar terms end at the same UTC time on the corresponding date one or three months later; if that date does not exist, they end on the last day of the target month. Annual Premium, short passes, delivery, refunds and statutory rights otherwise remain as stated above. The calendar-month passes do not include future features or a promise of perpetual updates.
